Imagine spending a week in your workplace without knowing a thing about it. With your fresh perspective, you would see things that time and proximity have rendered invisible. You would identify strengths waiting to be leveraged. You would find easy-to-implement improvement opportunities. You would better distinguish between problems and underlying causes.

For any insider, it’s impossible to be fully objective. But for us as outsiders, it’s what we bring to every engagement. We combine our objectivity with our experience to help you see your workplace in a new and fuller light — and to guide you in taking positive action based on your better view of the situation.

It happens in our accelerated improvement engagements, in which we focus on one of your highest human-capital priorities. This might be engagement, teamwork, change, or potential. Or the focus might be scoped more narrowly.

The process unfolds over the course of one or two weeks:

Gathering information: We spend time on-site — meeting with people throughout the workplace, asking questions, leading informal focus groups, getting a feel for the work environment, and so on. The time for this can range from one day to seven days, depending on the number of employees, locations, and other factors. The aim is to get fully familiar.

Turning information into insights: Working off-site, we prepare an interactive session that is one part briefing, one part analysis, and one part planning.

Putting it to work: Back at the client site a day or two later, we lead the session for the leadership council, or employee group, or other team — explaining the biggest insights, posing crucial questions and facilitating dialogue, then guiding the group in building its own plan for moving forward. The session concludes with a co-created work product that sets a clear direction and spells out who does what and when.

Making it stick: Following the on-site work, we stay in close contact with the client to track progress, provide ongoing guidance, and ensure results.
